Dire Bison/Cow Please Check my CR?

For my current game I'm having the players encounter a stampede of dire Bison. Individually they're supposed to be CR 4- but could someone check the stats I have here?

Your average HP should be higher, flat-footed AC should be 14. as a 9HD animal the BAB should be +6 and have another feat.

It seems pretty comparable to the Dire Boar, so I'd say CR 4 should be fine.

MMII has, I think, a Dire Elk. You may want to look at that. Alternately, look at the Elephant in the MM (for a huge animal).

Nitpicking your stats:

HD: hp should be 67
Attack: 1d8 is very little base damage for a gore attack from a Huge animal. I'd make it 2d6.
Abilities: 16 Con seems low... and Strength 34 seems high (Elephants have 30).
Skills: You forgot to add in Alertness
Feats: You should have two more. I'd probably give them Run and either Diehard or Great Fortitude.

If you want to keep this Challenge Rating 4, though, I'd make it Large and 8HD.

Much of my trying to come up with the Dire Steer was comparing the Boar with the Dire Boar. So, bearing in mind the suggestions...

Full Attack: Gore +15 melee (1d8+15)
Space/Reach: 10 ft./5 ft.

Special Qualities: Low-light vision, scent
Saves: Fort +9, Ref +4, Will +5
Abilities: Str 28, Dex 10, Con 16, Int 2, Wis 10, Cha 4
Skills: Listen +9, Spot +7
Feats: Alertness, Endurance, Run,

Organization: Solitary or herd (6-30)
Challenge Rating: 4

There. Four of those should be a decent challenge for 6 5th level characters, right?

wait, I didn't see the increase in HP. Yeah that will be a 4-5 round fight but I doubt that the PC's will have any trouble hitting them and they will probably have issues hitting the PC's.

Also since they are large you can't have them all gang up on one PC :uhoh:

What are your PC's classes?
Are they "optimized"?

Since they're going to be crashing through a saloon, I expect I can give them some pretty hefty minuses to maneuver. And hopefully the plaers will be smart enough to take advantage of the environment.

Hmm. Does anyone know where I can find a floor plan for a bar or saloon?

Ehh. Druid 5, Fighter 5, Fighter 3/sorcerer 2, Priest (Knowledge/Protection) 5, Sorcerer 5, Sorcerer 5.

Ack.

I may be in trouble here. Or rather, they might be.

The Hit Points, Saving Throws, Melee Damage, and Melee Attack Bonus are incorrect.

I do not see them posing much of a threat to 6 5th level Characters! There are a large number of spells which could make the Encounter trivial within a single round!

How are they off? Bear in mind my DM's Guide and Monster Manual are a couple hundred miles away, so i can't check easily.
