Disarming with a whip

Is there a rule somewhere (beyond just the whip or disarm descriptions in the PHB) that deals with where a weapon pulled from an opponent's hand(s) with a whip winds up? It makes sense that a stiff disarming weapon would just knock the opposed weapon to the ground, but this seems counterintuitive in the case of the whip. Is there some rule (feat or otherwise) that deals with pulling the now disarmed weapon toward or into the disarmer's square?

If you wrapped your whip around the weapon (rather than lashing the wielder's hand to make him drop it), you'd have an excellent chance of cutting the whip cord, I would think. However it makes sense to allow a more specialised action (perhaps at a penalty) to drag the weapon towards you, along the lines of the special benefit of disarming using an unarmed attack.

Only the Lasher (3.0) prestige class has this as a possibility.

I suggest a custom feat to allow it in the szame manner as the Lasher.

Why would the whip be cut? Swords and Axes aren't sharp. At least not cutting sharp. They are more like a blunt edge.

But I'd make it a feat.

Indiana Jones
Prereqs: Improved Disarm, Weapon Focus (Whip)
Benefit: As a full round action you can make a disarm check (as per normal disarm rules). If you win, you pull the disarmed weapon to you.

There have been sharp swords and axes and there have been mostly blunt ones. Anyhow, it's not the topic of this thread to discuss it.

I guess Complete scoundrel will have at least one whip prestige class. Otherwise I suggest to use Animate Rope to pick up the fallen weapons.
