Adventures and Character Development
I have been a lurker to the enworld forums for a while, but I have just discovered LEW. I currently have a character pending approval; however, I have decided to try my hand at the other side of the screen. I have several ideas of my own for an adventure, but I was struck by a thought.
I don't imagine that the adventures here often focus on the development of the various characters. This is a simple consequence that the DMs will develop the story idea first, then recruit players. I would like to try something else to start off.
This will be my first time DMing PbP and at LEW so I would like to DM a rather short sequence, perhaps 3-4 weeks of regular posting. I want this adventure to be driven by the needs of a character. For example:
-Bob has stated in his backstory that he is adventuring to locate his missing family, he has just heard that he might find out about them in a certain city and he wants to investigate.
-Farfur wants to create a certain magic item but lacks some of the key components and knows where they can be gathered.
-Desmond saved a village from a band of kobolds a while back and wants to check-in on them.
Would any one be interested? If you are, please just email me with the character's name and the small adventure you character would like to accomplish. I'll then contact you with any clarification I need. I'll develop the adventure and present it to the story judges. I'd be willing to DM a solo adventure, but would prefer something that 2-3 characters can participate in.
