Nooooo......my free time....

Still mulling over my options.....are clerics of an alignment or philosophical concept rather than a god acceptable? Also, is the free stuff on the WotC website, such as the Mind's Eye, acceptable? I don't know if you're going for either 1) the absolute basics; or 2) only material everyone is guaranteed to have access to.

And two more questions about the game concept: would this be something one could drop in and out of as needed? For example, should something in RL occur that may necessitate my absence for a while, could I make up something reasonable in-character ("I've just recieved a message from my monastery that requires my presence," "My feudal lord has called his knights to defend against an attacking humanoid horde," etc.) and drop out for a bit, assuming I'm not in the middle of a dungeon or something? And - am I understanding correctly that you are giving license to the players to craft certain parts of the world through in-game dialogue and actions? E.g. - "I hail from the Scarlet Reaches, named for the murderous tribes of bloodthirsty ogres that make it their home," or "I will aid you in your quest, but only because I have sworn to avenge the death of Duke Perinold."

Will Mor's End be included? And if it is, can those of us who tuned in late get a fairly brief overview, so we don't have to wade through dozens of pages of discussion to figure out what's what?

There, a rogues gallery, have fun.

I figure most of you know already, but that is where we record characters. This is for player characters only, after I see 10 I'll try and find the time to craft up some text to introduce the first tavern.

I hope the ideas are still running in your heads, it seems so popular that already 4 persons have posted their characters (mine include:D) and 4 others are holding a place in the thread :)

At that speed, the tavern open tommorow nigth...

P.S: I don't want to put any pression on your shoulder creamsteak... ;)

Hehehe, I'm already woeking on a City concept...complete with warring Guilds, several conflicting religions and at least one hostile military presence right on their doorstep.
Er, I mean a Tavern.

Survey says yes, at least for now. Considering the gods are going to be a slight mash of many different choices of domains, it may be fairly acceptable. I'm not 100% positive it will remain this way though, theres a lot of logistics (is that the right word?) to think about surrounding all different kinds of stuff. Of course, many a person who creates a deity would be pleased to see anyone worship them :p.

Right now I'm 100% number 1 and about 50% number 2. Basics, bare bare basics to start. If this is going to be as big as I'd like it to be, we can't complicate it one iota till we have a base of good gaming.

OK, I might not be positive about your question. Yes you could leave the game for as long as you need to, then come back, just so long as you were not actively participating in a current event (such as an adventure). Limited time away is fine, given that you inform everyone.

Yep. Sounds hard as hell doesn't it? And I'm one of those players that REALLY perpetrates this kind of madness. As a Judge, of which we will need a few, you will be needed to literally read a certain set of 2-3 games that you don't play in, and bring new inventions and ideas that seem useful to the table for other Judges to handle. The thing is, if the player that made up those two things doesn't follow through and at least write a couple paragraphs on it, then it might not ever see any more than those words. There will be a thread of sorts where new info is added to a list (with links to every post within, with the posts title) so players and dms alike can look things up. Complex as hell, and that's why I'm being reluctant to push this too fast.

What?

Let's see... college starts Wednesday. My new gaming group is meeting Friday or Saturday. I'm supposed to open a game, and I'm supposed to be working on my Final Fantasy Tactics D20 game.

Oh, and I moderate around this forum and all, but I love that...

But it doesn't 'seem' like too much if I take it in little bits. Class>R&R>DnD>Enworld... gotta keep my priorities straight.

and the game should run itself fairly well when I'm too busy. That's the point of having a solid chain of command... someone to fill my place. Gary, I'm looking at you :p.

Awesome.

Mor's End administration thread, which is at the top of the Plots & Places forum and one of many Mor's End threads, none of which I have looked through in depth. Mor's End is a city-creation project entirely by the members of ENworld. Since you're aiming for simplicity, I'm guessing that's a 'no' on whether that will be included.

So if I were to, say, gather a group from the inn and suggest we charter a ship to seek out the Blue-Banded Pirates in the Islands of Adefar to recover the plunder from Port Sirkuhan, I could do that under two conditions: 1) there was a GM willing to take us through that, and 2) I write up a bunch of material about the Blue-Banded Pirates, the Islands of Adefar, Port Sirkuhan as well as its recent plundering, which provides enough background to make this reasonably possible without totally ASSASSINATING the Judge/GM's free time, and then post it to the main thread and get it approved.
