Heh. Actually not a bad idea. I'm a Ranger, so maybe I'll just make it a Ranger spell. I'd rather have it as a feat, though.

Or a prestige class ability or a substitution level.

Oh, I forgot about Ranger spells The fact that you get AoOs on the enemy and they don't on you for shooting is very nice for a Swift Action, but not overpowered I would say, and it seems fair for a feat too

If I had to have potions of the stuff, I'd want to get one of those beer hats so I don't have to use an action to drink the potion.

I guess I'll have to take a look at the spell in... where is it, Complete Adventurer? And come up with a level to take the feat that isn't too bad. I'd probably have to make it higher than I otherwise would have to stay on the safe side.

Yeah, its CV. I don't have the book but I had a player propose it in Destiny's Tears, and I okayed it.

well, the proposal for "Murder is the Pits" has been sent out, so with any luck I will soon be recruiting in the inn for 3-4 non evil characters who can engage in entertaining melee combat....

I was wondering if a monkey familiar would be allowed w/o an official proposal? It's not on the list of familiars, but I'd just give it "Master gets +3 on climb checks" like a lizard. Its CR is 1/6, which is less than at least a few other familiars on the list (I didn't check them all). So...?

I'm no judge, but any animal that have a low CR make sense as an animal. And for the bonus, seems good, as long as it is equivalent at a skill focus or a +2 to a save.

A judge has spoken, and it's the same bonus as another familiar available at low levels, so shouldn't be a problem.

Are there more adventures coming soon besides mine and this one that's hiring in the tavern? I don't want to miss one and I obviously can't play in mine, but there seems to be a long line to play this one, and a combat adventure seems deadly to most 1st level PCs if not careful...
