Dislike 4E? You can write off 5E

I'm wondering what kind of impact the new Warhammer Fantasy game will have on 5e. FFG kind of took 4e's ball and ran with it a little as far as use of cards and miniatures.

I had to laugh today though when I opened my RPGA rewards packet and got a Dark Sun deck box. My first thought was "D&D's migration to Magic is now complete." Since I'm not playing 4e I'll have to figure something else out to use it for though.

Alright, but actually I do have evidence, it's right there in your post: "I am posting this here only so I can come back in 6 years or so and tell my friends "I told you so."" Emphasis mine. As in, that's the 'only' reason you are posting it, and you won't come back if you are wrong; unless we have different meanings of the word 'only.' Clearly I took things more literally than you intended, but unfortunately that's all I have to go off of. Either way, I don't mean insult. I certainly use selective memory, if most of the time unconsciously.

That out of the way, I'm glad you take responsibility. See you in a few? years when 5E comes out, if it still has printed books you owe me a cookie. Otherwise, the cookie is yours my friend.

OK yes. The 'only' part was really the joking part. From time to time I have said things of what may come. Lo and behold it comes true, and I tell friends I told you so, and they say "No you didn't! Your just saying that with hindsight.. blah blah blah".

If I am wrong, so be it. But if I'm right there it is on record. I am on record for being wrong enough. It would be nice to be on record for a correct prediction for a change. I also do not expect anyone but me to care.
