Disrupt Undead

edit: Thanks for the 3.5 tip. Sounds like a nice bonus for the Bard. I thought we were talking about the current game.
Cheers

With regards to the disrupt undead question we are.

I'm sorry. I ended up throwing in the comment about the 3.5 edition without any sort of clarification at all. I know this sounds sarcastic (it is not meant to be) - but I'm sorry for any confusion caused.

Since it was clarified already by another I won't go back and edit my post though :)

I'm definitely with the no healing effect. Even if it's an arcane spellcaster tossing the positive energy around, it is still channeled for a specific purpose - distressing the undead. If the spell description indicated an additional healing effect, then fine, but as is that would require a more different spell.
And to those who would point out that traveling on the Positive Energy Plane heals living creatures, I would point out that in that particular situation the characters are surrounded and bombarded by massive amounts of energy for long periods of time. The relatively insignificant amount released by the spell would not affect the ... um ... un-undead.

For general gameplay, I would say that the positive energy only damages the undead and nothing else since it is channeled through the power of the cleric for specifically this purpose.
The amount of positive energy released in the spell is too insignificant to reach a healing level.
