Level Up (A5E) Distracting with Weapons

ArcaneOverride

Villager
The Flamboyant Weapon Property gives disadvantage to saving throws to resist being distracted by the weapon, but I can't find how you can cause those saving throws. Is there a Maneuver or some other action I missed that causes enemies to have to save vs being distracted by a weapon?

I can't find any keyword references to distract. The only interaction I can find is with Gladiator Flourishes on p194, where all your armour and weapons become Flamboyant and the second part of the sentence of Flamboyant therefore gives the Gladiator advantage on Bloody (Intimidation) and Glorious (Performance) Flourish checks. The first part of the sentence doesn't seem to have an interaction currently, presumably apart from the Narrator allowing it when making a general Performance etc roll (but then would that be a contested ability check not a saving throw)?

Are you looking for the maneuvers from the core Battle Master sub-class? Specifically something like the Distracting Strike maneuver?

Currently the only features that support the first part of the flamboyant weapon property are the Distraction option for rogue's Innocent Facade and aye, the gladiator fighter's Glorious Bloodsport Flourish. There will probably be more in the future.

There are plenty of combat maneuvers that distract—lots of them, one I think called Pocket Sand until someone rained on my parade—but they don't use Performance checks relevant to the flamboyant weapon property.
