Do you all have any ideas for describing the dark magics' that would make it so difficult as to need 19,000 solars? helppppp

The "archsolar" is the leader of the 18,999 other solars

Nope. Demons and Devils are two separate, at war groups. The war between them is the Blood war and the two are completely unrelated in terms of hierarchy having two separate and distinct hierarchies and living areas - Devils are in the Nine Hells, Demons are in the infinite layers of the abyss.

In terms of Demonic hierarchy, it is generally pretty chaotic with the strongest asserting there will over the weakest. After all the demons are chaotic in nature and do not naturally work in a structured format.

This is of course all according to the official D&D cosmology, anything goes how you want it in your world!

That is almost blasphemy ;)

Keep demons and devils separate! At least if you play a very typical D&D setting...

I would simply say that demons "hierarchy" - with quotation marks because they don't exactly have any hierarchy at all - is solely based on CR, or otherwise the opportunity to trample the others. "Demon lords" is usually just a naming of convenience for the most powerful ones, typically the ones that are unique beings instead of belonging to a monster entry; therefore, Demogorgon, Grazz't, Yeenoghu, Juiblex and Orcus are "demon lords" while Balors (more than one of which exist) are not, although they may be very close.

In more concrete terms, you may not worry too much about any hierarchy when using demons in your campaign, since they chaotic evil nature is such that even if there was any hierarchy it would be very flexible and everchanging. If a demon lord remains as such it is only because he is powerful enough to survive and not be overthrown by any other demon.

Okay this is what I thought but wasn't sure

So here is what I have on my abyss-like demi-plane:

2 cooperating Demon Lords.

#1 (Sccarrotbalo) of which is more powerful than the other as he is the one who generates the dark magic's on the said demi-plane and who is the one collecting souls for the demi-plane which is a sort of rogue Underworld

#2 (Stuctratus the Hammer) a collossal scale engineer, builder of fortifications, commander of the dretch-like demons that inhabit the demi-plane in question.

In addition under the command of Structratus:

2 Demons (of middling power -- councilors to Stratratus and overseerers of the dretch-like demons)

And under #2 demon as well are 50,000 dretch-like demons

For the purpose of this fight the dretch-like demons don't effectively matter one bit; they can't appreciably hurt a solar, and can be destroyed with the flick of a solar's will. Thus, you've got 19,000 solars and some actual gods against two tough demon lords and two wussy demons. Who do you think is gong to win?

I agree, 100 solars could handle this more effectively. Invading with an army of thousands would likely raise the entirety of the Abyss against heaven, as they'd be furious about being invaded. So while those solars are fighting the demon lords, the heavens get invaded and largely destroyed by fiends anxious for reprisal. :D

Yes! :) One Solar and 19,000 men

In addition, the Council of Gods I mentioned before are permitting no reinforcements for the good or bad guys either because because (most of them) are horrified that the Solar and his army of men have preemptive laid siege on the evil demi-plane in question without apt authority. Actually the gods were planning 'something' to this measure but the Solar in question sort of acted before the official order to war was given – the “Gods” were taking to long to cleanse this blasphemy. Thus this so-called “illegal” war has created a political aggravation between the Great Lords of the Abyss and the Heavens (I'm still trying to define specific on the "heavens"), turning a small situation into a much much larger situation. Therefore, for the time being, in the middle of the Solar and his army's sure victory -- a 'ceasefire' and withdrawal is ordered. The Gods twiddle their thumbs more… In the meantime, the Solar, going from the frying pan into the fire, has created a "Paradise" on the evil demi-plane in a plan to purify the dark magics' and settle the demi-plane with goodly aligned beings. It's a mess and this is where player characters slip in to do a bit of adventuring, as the Powerful eyes over the demi-plane are for the moment sorely taxed.

Good days work :)

Here is what I concluded on this thread -- suggestions and comments are still very welcome!

From the Outer Plane that orbits the Astral Plane, Nyomythus is an intermediate deity from the Court of Corellon at Arvandor on the Olympia Glades of Arborea. He is more than half elven and part gnome. Unable to find elven aspirants to settle The Upland, Gnomes became the next best choice.

Adventurers and heroes he gathered in haste to meet the calendar of the cosmos as soon as Deepwuld and Arborea would be at their closest junction. On the hour, without full authority, he and his army of some 19,000 humankind invaded Deepwuld; appealing to the vengeance of the humankind whose loved ones had blasphemously been snatched-up by the Doorway of Doom; the gate that discerns no moral alliance, reaping mayhem throughout the Overheavens and the Underdark alike!
