Of course, if you want to borrow a concept from Savage Species, you could say that the ghaele has taken 20 levels in the ghaele class...

I would go as stated above. A ghaele is considered a 20th level character. But if you're using it for an NPC i'd just have him not use the spell. They are pretty freakin powerful as is. Seeing a 20th lvl ghaele PC use it would make one of the 2 minor things (loss of hps and attack bonus) for being a ghaele irrelevant. Also with the new "Improved Toughness feat" and a decent CON those ghaele PC's are sick!
