he is playing 3.0? my srd for haste says, 'adds +30' movement as an enhancement bonus'

Oops - I misread. The 90' must be including Divine Vigor.

I read "to a maximum of twice the base move", and missed the "30 feet".

you had me worried about some sort of crazy errate/ruling/random page which contridicts the actual spell.. dont do that to me! ;)

Except that Haste adds +30' to your move, but not more than double the normal speed, as an enhancement.

Thus: 40' (base) +30' (Haste, the +10' from Longstrider doesn't stack) +10' (quickness?) +10' (Divine Vigor) = 90'

[Edit] Sorry, I am too slow....

As you've figures out, the 90 included divine vigor.

40 base
30 enhancement (haste/longstrider)
10 quick
10 divine vigor

His 'walk around' speed is:

40 base
10 quick
10 enhancement (longstrider)

thanks for the clarification!

If I'm using Divine Vigor (and therefor have temp hp) and I cast Shield Other, the damage I take from the SO comes off the temp hp first, right?

Hmmmm. I think my cleric has a new trick...

That is a pretty nice idea ;)

It is a good feat, but certainly not 'must have'.

It is comparable in value to a lot of spells my paladin has access to. Why do I need to spend a feat to get another option I do not have time to use? I looked carefully at this feat and chose Close Quarter Fighting instead.

As a cleric, I would primarily need to spend my actions helping my friends or dumping hurt down on my enemies. Divine Vigor does not do either.

I'm currently playing a 7th level Sorceror (with high charisma of course).

Do you think it's worth it to take a single level of cleric and the feat Divine Vigor ? Turning attempts are not level based, only charisma based (if used to power a divine feat).
