Diviners and diviner love

I'm wondering if anyone out there has played a divination focused class (as it seems to be the oft-overlooked school of specialization).

What were your favorite:
spells?
tricks?
magic items?
tales?

I like Unluck (SC) for screwing with people; one of the few offensive divination spells. (Forces target to reroll all rolls and take the worse).

I liked that I only had to give up one other school of magic, and got access to extraordinary powerful information-gathering spells. Identify, Clairvoyance, prying eyes, scrying, etc. all.

Only rarely did a situation arise where the group went into battle unprepared for what we were gonna face.

Plus I was playing an alienist who was going crazy from all the bizarre stuff he kept seeing, much of which kept bleeding over into reality through his divinations. That was pretty cool.

Yep- I used True Strike to ensure a few key strikes landed. Sometimes, it really made the difference with whip induced Trip/Disarms.

And being able to give the party info- Locate, Clair- this & that, Detect Whatever... all handy.

Plus, the more books you use, the more nifty divinations there are. There are several variations on True Strike out there.
