D&D General DM’s secret Wish: Santa make my house rules become official!

For me DnD is good as it is. And like other other I don’t see the need to fix but rather adapt to my view.

but on the other hand, there is still solid clash about rules and concepts.
and often I think that should be a table affair rather than wide consensus.
Are you saying you're offended that people suggest to others the house rules they've created and used at their table successfully? is this a request for people to not talk about house rules as a solution to an issue that was raised?

I m a fan of house ruling, and sharing house rule is a wonder.
what is often missing is the context and the purpose.
house rules is done on purpose, to encourage or avoid situation, in the perpective of a psecific play style, or simply dm preference and skills.
usually when you see the whole picture house rules become obvious and smart,
when you look at house rules without the context they seem childish and arbitrary.

I don't like house rules that supposedly "fix" something, what's broken in DnD is often just someone's opinion and I often don't agree with it. However, if they announce it differently such as "My table and I don't like the way this thing works in DnD and this is what we did to change it" then I'm often more likely to respond positively, the same with house rules to people create to get a certain feel for the game. I have some house rules, sometimes just to see how something works out and whether it makes the game more fun (I guess ultimately, more fun is what all of my houserules are about).
