DM Screens

Howdy, I'm a noobie DM wondering which is the best 3.5 screen to buy. I'd like to get the Forgotten Realms one, but it's 3.0. Anyone know how much stuff I'd have to change to convert the FR screen to 3.5? If it's too much, then what's your favorite 3.5 screen? I'm too lazy to build one. Thanks for your time.

I like the new Deluxe 3.5 screen, but also use the original FR screen even though it is 3.0

Truth be told I usually like a screen for the feel that it brings to the game, and to hide my dice rolls ... rather than quick access to tables and such. My 2 all time favorite screen were from Birthright and Planescape. Gawd I loved the Lady of Pain.

I use the WotC 3.5 screen(s). This is the set with one for D&D and the other for d20 Modern. I rarely keep them set up, but they are always at hand for when I need a chart real quick, and know exactly where to find it. I'm pretty happy (though the d20 Modern one offers limited usage, I like the splash damage diagrams).

These are the ones i use as well. I love the 'low profile' of these screens as it allows me to remain seated and still run a com,bat without having to get up every 3 seconds to check movement, AoE etc.

The 3.5 Kingdoms of Kalamar screen from Kenzer. $20.00 and so worth it to me I bought 4. I even find the Kalamar stuff useful. Gives me names for new NPC's, new poisons, lots of other goodies.

IF a low profile screen is critical to you, don't get it. But I think everyone should own at least one.

Thanks for the advice. I'll go with the 3.5 Wotc because we have a very wide and long table, so the low profile (and additional screen) will be very nice. I think I'll mostly use it as a screen anyways.

Treebore is correct.

The screen is overkill, yet it is FULL OF AWESOME.

I actually prefer the low profile blank screen for Savage Kingdoms. Itl ets me customize what info or pics I want for reference or to create atmosphere. I cut and paste the charts I reference most from the SRD and print them landscape, slide them in and I am set to go. If I run a different game, L slide those charts out and replace them with what I want for the new game. It's clear plasic so I can also mark it with wet/dry erase as needed and clean it up easily.

Prior to getting this one, I used the Kalamar screen Treebore mentioned. I found it had too much info and made it too hard to use. I kiked it, but it just didn;t work for what I wanted accessible easily while running a game.
