DM sheets do-able or redundant

So i've been thinking about this ever since i saw the idea posted on another thread. Players have sheets that they keep that helps them know themselves and their abilities. Now i know that DM's have the dm screen which keeps all (well...most) of the relevent rules that one needs to run the game, but what more could be done. What sorts of things would you put into a two possibly three page sheet for the DM. Have any of you guys made one, or seen one, or even just share what kinds of ideas you have regaurding the subject.

You mean like city and town sheets? NPC sheets? Cheat sheets of complicated rules or specific manuvers not always used? Or possible plot points to be kept track of? List of names for places and peoples?

For all of that I have the ultimate DM sheet. It covers that and anything else a DM could possible need to keep track of: A notebook of blank sheets of paper.

hehe yes well, although the abreviated form that im thinking of is a bit more streamlined, though maybe i should just streamline my notes hehe. One thing you mentioned i would deffinately include, plot points to include. I wouldnt put NPC stats in it though..somehow too specific. Though deffiantely maybe short statblocks of the pc's in the group

I think they're do-able, but I've not seen too many myself. Those that I've seen either have way too much information in an extremely small space, or it falls short of what I'm after. I guess I stopped looking, making my own in Excel.

Here are a couple. The PDF is made from the Word docs I used with 2nd Edition. The Zip contains an Excel template. Put it in your templates directory and you can make a new multi-sheet DM's record as often as you need to.

thanks silveras ill have to check that out come morning time. one reason i dont make my own sheets is that im fairly inept at things electronic, otherwise i would make nifty charecter sheets modeled after my pen and paper versions and cool dm sheets...once i have it figured out what i need in a condensed dm sheet that is...anyway im tired almost to the point of delerium so i think ill be heading off to bed.
