Damn that title is loud...
But catchy... It's like the song you hate but can't stop singing... ;)

Li Shenron, I doubt it will be what you want but I will probably have something up for recruiting on Monday...

- Reducing LA, check and double check

- Bloodlines, doubtful, I dislike them as I grew up playing in birthright, but I might allow it.

- Variant Classes (all), not sure if I'll allow "all" but probably most.

- Specialization Variants, as a variant on to itself.

- Spontaneous Divine Casters, ahhh favored soul. (aka no.)

- Class Feature Variants (some), not sure I remember this part...

- Prestigious Classes, Nope.

- Weapon Groups, I liked them well enough in my solo game but this will be a group discussion.

- Magic Rating, doubtful

- Summon Variants, not sure.

- Metamagic Components, doubtful.

- Spell Points, nope.

- Recharge Magic, I don't remember this very well, but if it's what I remember it shouldn't be too bad.

- Incantations, doubtful, not really sure.

- Contacts, this may work...

- Gestalt characters, yup

- Appearance/Comeliness, yup

The world I envision is going to be very different, a real lack of arcane magic and an over flux of divine. Of course GR's Book of the Righteous could be very useful as they've replaced the paladin, but I will be using few if any of their deities. If your interested hit me up at ftn4life@earthlink.net, or ICQ, though I'm at work right now, and I'll give you more details... :)

Also I’m not looking for short term players, though I’ve seen some adventures last a year via play by post, also I’m not sure how combat heavy it will be so if your wanting to test mechanics you might want to look elsewhere… If you’re looking to roleplay then you might enjoy this game. :)

And no, this isn't my recruitment thread. :)

At least these alone are far enough to design a character different from what I have played before! Generally I play spellcasters, and for example I could try some Domain Wizard or a Cloistered Cleric, with eventually other new things from the spec/summon/feature variants that you may allow.

Two notes worth mentioning:

1) Recharge Magic is a huge change. It completely breaks the spells/day limit by "recharging" used spell slots, and on the other hand it introduces a minimum waiting time between 2 casting of the same spell and casting of different spells of the same level.
It is a dramatic depart from the normal magic rules. I want to use it in the future as part of a campaign, where the characters will travel to a place where magic works this way, so it would be useful for to check out how this affects the game. But, think carefully before you allow this ;)

2) Gestalt Character... well this is not necessarily what I want to try. I wouldn't mind of course, but using GC may actually "hide" the effect of playing a variant class. For example, if I wanted to try a Battle Sorcerer, the increased HD and BAB could be totally unuseful once the second class had them higher.
In other words, if I play a gestalt campaign, I'd rather choose 2 core classes instead, so I'll have to think if it's really what I want.

I'm fine with the long term and the combat-light aspect of the campaign. The only thing is that I cannot post during the weekends, so it should not be intensive on Saturdays and Sundays.

Has someone already thrown their hat into the ring for DM'ing this.

If not, I would consider it.

Please do :)

As interested as I am in testing the limited of UA as a GM, I've decided my thread load (two GM games, and too many player games) and work schedule is too heavy at the moment.

I'm truly sorry for giving any false hopes :( but wish you the best of luck in finding someone. :)

If nothing develops, I should slow down (work wise) in September and will check in again then.
