I prefer Book Depository. While the price reduction isn't as big as for Amazon, the lack of shipping cost compensates for it in my case. Plus they had the book available around the same time as FLGSs.

I know what it meant, I lived in Glasgow for 5 years. The accent was all over the place though!

I gave up on Amazon UK for the DMG (and for the Firefly RPG come to think of it). I usually buy online from IGUK but had to get a refund when it became clear they had no stock (their website said they did when I ordered). So I bought mine from Games Lore yesterday and it arrived today
