D&D 5E (2014) DMG - prepare the hot pokers for Amazon!

I enjoy accents and local speech patterns, so I thought i'd reach out to our neighbor across the pond. Accents make your world much more believable... which is why I loved Zeitgeist flavoring the areas after England/France/etc. Kudos.

So far, getting things in the mail when I'm supposed to is the only thing that's good about living in America. I would gladly move to England, Scotland, Wales, or Ireland (or, really, anywhere in western Europe) in a heartbeat if I could find a decent job there. I've been honestly considering the Netherlands, since I have dual citizenship there from my Father.

I've had the same thing happen with my DMG from Amazon (ordered the 10th).
The latest ETA I had was the 20th so when that came and went I called them. They couldn't (or wouldn't) tell me what was going on.
Very frustrating.

On Nov 4th Amazon advised me I'd have my copy of the DMG later in the month. :D
On Nov 16th Amazon advised me I'd have it on Dec 15th. :(
On Dec 15th Amazon advised me I'd have it on Dec 19th. :( :(
On Dec 17th Amazon advised me I'd have it on Jan 8th.

I believe the next line is "Five gold rings".

I think you should look for your DMG elsewhere or move to america. I got my book for 22$ shipped and it got here the day it came out.

I'm surprised at how many people are calling for Amazon's heads about their DMG shipping issues. Given how pretty much every other book or package* that Amazon is shipping around the world this Christmas season is going swimmingly, I don't think that it's Amazon's fault if that one product keeps getting delayed on UK orders – more likely the UK distributor that WotC uses is scratching their butt with a +2 Backscratcher in lieu of actually getting the books that Amazon would need into place...

(*due to torrential rains, I did have a one day delay on one package's arrival here, but that was actually UPS's fault when they decided not to move a load of time-sensitive gifts from the airport to the local distribution hub until the next day)

Edit: Nevermind; missed the country in which this is taking place.

My sympathies on your 'upgrade.'
