DnD 3.5 - Valley of the Dead

Theroc - In case I was a bit too subtle, it was your character whom Latham bumped into.

Oh, yes, yes you were, since Myth had me at the very BACK of the crowd, and you were much closer to everything... unless I misread. I'll delete my post and try to figure out how it all works now before replying again, lol.

Er... I suppose I'll just delete the words in it for now, until I figure it out.

Another reason I was confused, perhaps, was that I thought I made mention of Alevyth's armor being more on the plain side than the elaborate, because the additional pomp was better suited to the poor.

Oh, and don't follow the bullet-point description for Alevyth. He looks like a PERFECT human boy. As in human, only without any of the flaws one would see. As a changeling, Alevyth chose to 'become' human. So he almost exclusively looks like...

Except, of course, where the text contradicts the image. Sorry for the confusion.

Ah, that could be where I made the mistake. I saw Mithral Full Plate and assumed it'd be all fancy-pants. But no, you are right that Alevyth is in the back and Latham in the middle. That was until I had him leave the assembled and unceremoniously cross paths.

Oh, I edited in more stuff into my previous post above regarding Alevyth's appearance.

jager0727: So Senslar basically removes himself from the south gate square and goes to the plaza in front of the cathedral?

basically, the idea is to try to see what's going on without being real noticable (hence the shapechange).
If he can make out the general idea that they're gathering people for some sort of defense of the town or proactive action against the undead that is (I just assumed he could get the general idea from where he was, apologies if I was mistaken)

Also, when you roll in IC, please put in the modifier for me. For example, a hero with 14 CHA rolls bluff, you write in IC:

Name: John Smitherson

Campaign: Valley of the Dead

Roll: 1d20+2

Comment: Bluff check for John vs the donkey.

OOC:You mean we have to write out Valley of the Dead I thought we could use VotD <--- looks so kool lol your call though and did he make his bluff check vs. the donkey???? I gots to know :p:p

Voda: I just noticed Thok's stats, you can't have CHA 8 at base, as i've stated in the first post that you get 36 point buy but you cannot have a stat lower than 10 base points. You must re-do your stats and your skills as the modifiers will be affected. Oh, and remove the Knowledge skills (unless you have invested in one) as well as spellcraft, profession craft, Use magic device etc. all the trained only skills. I can give you a full list a bit later as i'm pressed for time right now.

By the way i have to re-read the DMG/PHB but i don't think that having 8 INT makes your character verbally challenged (8 INT isn't that stupid after all, only slightly dumber than an average person. Think... Paris Hilton? Or is she INT 6..). He can speak normally, unless you don't want him to of course.

I'm not a member of IC, so I can only name my character and place a roll.

I hope that isn't a major problem, Myth.

HM: All i can say is, it was one crafty donkey... BTW VotD does look cool.. Hmmm

Theroc: NP if you're not a a member of IC, although honestly registration takes like 2 minutes.

jager0727: sure he can get an overview of the town, it will be consistent with the map i'm planning to draw anyway :)

Hi All,
I’m sorry for not posting. Life has been hectic with trying (and still trying) to get a mortgage, medical insurance, family arrangements etc. I am a passive reader at this point until I have a bit more free time on my hands. Very entertaining posts. Keep up the good PbP.

My father owns the network/internet connection, and he doesn't like me signing up to a load of things, and IC is one of those things I find less essential to be a member of, when compared to Enworld. If it was my own network it'd be fine.

He just likes to keep things a bit more limited to troubleshooting and identifying problems is easier.
