DND Minis- Aberrations

Just got this e-mail from GameOutfitter:

Dear GameOutfitter.com Customer,

We recently learned that Wizards will be changing the number of booster and starters per case in their D&D Miniatures Aberrations release. Aberrations and subsequent expansions will have 12 booster packs per case, instead of 16 per case as in previous expansions. Starter sets will be packed 6 per case instead of 8 per case as in the past.

This change in case size will have no impact on pricing of existing orders and we will fill the orders based on the number of booster packs or starter sets ordered (not the number of cases). However, we understand that receiving factory-sealed cases is important to many of our customers and this information may require a change in the order amounts.

If you would like to alter your order size to receive only factory-sealed cases, please email us with the adjustments and we'll respond with a confirmation of the change and a new order amount.

Thanks for your continued business through us!

Kind regards,

Staff

I fail to see the problem...

If the price per booster/starter stays the same, and only the amount of them packed into one case is different, what's the big deal with that!?

For completionists. They suddenly have to buy that many more cases to get they minis they want. The net result is that a good portion of the minis buyers will shell out more money.

Hey, if you're a crack addict, and you're tired of buying your stash, it doesn't mean he's not buying... :D

I had no plans to get sucked into D&D minis, but I turned out buying a pack a week for a while anyway, to the point where I just upgraded my storage needs and I'm still running out of space... :(

As for the news, that does suck mightily. Fortunately, I'm not buying by the case; however, as I'm buying by the pack, when the pack price for the small packs jumps to 12.95, I'm seriously going to have to think about it... USD $10.00 is the ceiling for an impulse buy for me.
