I haven't watched them in awhile, but if I recall correctly it was pretty hard to keep up with unless you knew the terms used in MtG.

Which, realistically, can be said about any sporting event you're unfamiliar with. Things like football and basketball I can follow fine, but on the occasion I catch a televised game of rugby or cricket or somesuch, the commentators quickly lose me.

Even the televised poker tournaments had me confused until I managed to catch a little "here's what all this means" segment during one of them.

Yeah. Those "What this means" things in the poker tourneys are really great for understanding the things that are going on. Heh, can we dream anymore than this?

That's true to a certain degree. Someone unfamiliar with a sport can tune in halfway through it and get a pretty decent grasp on how things work. Someone unfamiliar with something like MtG is going to have a harder time trying to pick up the rules by watching it on tv.

there's an ESPN2?

i'm still getting used to the idea of an all Music Channel.

it takes me time to adjust to new things. :o

Cold Pizza isn't a sports show, it's a morning show. Jay the host is goofy, but he never mocks any of the strange things they have on there. They have a weekly video game segment, for instance. Kit Hoover's the reason to watch it. :D
