Do bonuses from skill synergy stack?

I was about to say no, because two bonuses of the same type don't stack, and they're both "synergy" bonuses.
Would synergy not be a true bonus type?

Not in 3.5.

In 3.5, two skills have "skill synergy", which provides a bonus... rather than two skills providing a synergy bonus.

In 3E, it was a named synergy bonus. However, as an example:

"If the character has 5 or more ranks in Bluff or Sense Motive, the character gets a +2 synergy bonus on Diplomacy checks. These bonuses stack."

My favorite evidence that they stack:
If you reverse-engineer the Skills for various monsters in the MM (and, thus, the SRD), you will find they received stacking synergy bonuses. The most obvious examples are the Diplomacy bonuses from Bluff and Sense Motive. Many Demons have these.

Silveras said what I was about to say. Just look at the monsters and you'll see it clear as day. Bonuses from synergy stack. They even stacked back in 3.0 regardless of it being a "named" bonus (in fact I'm certain there was a direct statement of that being one of the "exceptions" back then anyway) as can be seen by the stats of the iconics and the wording of the books. At any rate, they stacked then and they still stack now.

Besides, it makes sense. If you have two skills that help a single skill, why would one suddenly not help that skill just because you have another that does?

Um, anyway, that's all I have to say.
