Do enhancement bonuses from magic items give more spells?

Say you got a wizard with 13 in intellegence. you get a bonus 1st level spell.

Then you get an item that like a headband of intellect +2, or whatever its called, to boost your intellegence to 15, giving you a +2 bonus.

does this mean you now also get a bonus 2nd level spell? if so is this true for a bard/sorcerer with charisma, or cleric/paladin/ranger with wisdom?

An enhancement bonus raises your ability score, which raises your modifier, which can give a wizard extra spells, skill points, skill modifiers, and higher save DCs. The only time you don't gain spells is if it is explicity stated so in the item's description, or in the case of Eagle's Splendor, and the like, in the spell's description.

I can't quote a page number though, except for chapter 1 of the PH. Its not something I look up very often. :)

I don't have the book in front of me, but IIRC you need to have the ability bonus for a certain length of time before you get bonus spells - probably 24 hours or so.
