I initially misread that as "Downtown & Dragons" with a different connotation, thanks for the clarification.Like I said - “Downton & Dragons”, as in Downton Abbey like roleplaying in the downtime between adventures. PC’s helping VERY unlikely NPC’s find their way to each other, in this case.
3e sort of genericized half giants by putting them in the 3.5 psionics srd with almost no flavor text.
"Giant in the streets, but a human in the sheets."I initially misread that as "Downtown & Dragons" with a different connotation, thanks for the clarification.
"everyones the same height when theyre lying down""Giant in the streets, but a human in the sheets."
That’s interesting on the publishing history origin of Goliaths - a winding path from Dark Sun psionics to Grog in Critical Role.Theres a note in 2e Dark Sun that states that Atahasian Half-Giants are also known as Goliaths. As you say in 3e Psionic half-Giants were generalised at lost their lore, then the psionics was dropped, the lore reimagined and the name Goliath was picked up to differentiate them.
