Do "they" exist in your world?

Sure do.

IMC, the universal physics is the same down to the String level. The big difference: Strings are sentient, albeit utterly alien. Thus, magic.
That's very cool, although I'm leaning towards giving magic it's own elementary particle, the way gravitons create gravity and photons are light (yes - gross oversimplification and may not even be true. IANAP*). But what to call them? Arcanaons? Manaons? Mageons?

They definitely do - as do such things as pseudo-science like destructive time-paradoxes (casting a time stop within a time stop),

Actually time stop just speeds you up, it doesn't slow everyone else down. It is like super ultra mega haste.

Nope. Don't exist. The concept of the four elements of earth/air/fire/water entirely supplants the concept of atoms, molecules, etc. There are only 4 elements and they do not appear on a periodic table.

When I say "they" I mean things such as Atoms, Protons, Electrons, Neutrons. Dna and cells and other stuff like that. Do those types of things exist in your world? If they do are they known about?

Yes, but they're MAGIC atoms, DNA, and cells. :)

In Terry Pratchett's novels, the particle / basic unit of magic is the Thaum. Of course, they are measured by thaumometers.

Heh, maybe casting 2 time stops in a row would rip the body apart from the force of speed that is present. ;)

As to answer the question, hell no. I don't need no stinkin' protons. ;)

No. Things work the way they do because of the Mandate of Heaven. The sun shines because the Sun God rides his chariot over the (flat) world every day. Unsupported objects fall to the ground because the Elemental Dragon of Earth has been given providence over such things. Birds fly because they are decended from the Skyfather. As long as the Celestial Bureaucracy remains in place the 'laws' of the world function as they should without the need for tiny particles or any such things.

Yes, I have played way waaay too much Exalted and it has warped my fragile mind.
