Do turn undead uses stack?

I'm playing a Cleric 1/Paladin 1 with a 17 Charisma. As a first level cleric, he can turn undead (3 + cha bonus)= 6 times per day. When he reaches fourth level as a paladin, he gains the ability to turn undead from that class, which also states he gets 3 + cha bonus uses.

So, does this mean when my character is a Cleric 1/Paladin 4, he'll be able to turn undead 12 times a day? Typically not that useful, but with the introduction of Divine Feats, this would be great.

Also, when he turns undead, do his levels stack for that (so the above character turns undead as a 2nd level cleric)?

It's not easy to find, but your answer's on page 59 of the Player's Handbook. Near the top of the right side under class features it says:

"If the character's paladin level is 4th or higher, her effective turning level is her cleric level plus her paladin level minus 3."

Hope that helps.

Effective cleric levels stack, but not uses per day. Thus, if you were a Clr2/Pal5, you would turn undead 3+Cha mod times per day, as a 4th level cleric (2 from Cleric + 5-3 from Paladin).

Thanks. I was pretty sure the effective levels would stack, but couldn't find anything stating that uses didn't stack. If they didn't, I could see each set being governed by the respective class (Clr2/Pal4 would get 6 turns as a 2nd level cleric, and 6 as a 1st level cleric), but this wouldn't solve the problem with divine feats.

So, stacking levels for turns, but not uses works for me.
