Do We Know (Officially) when Barbarians and Druids will be Released?

I've been checking on this matter, as we know that Barbarians and Druids are highly likely not in the PHB, but may be released as a "web enhancement" or something of that nature, and then officially officially released in PHB2 or perhaps a "primal" book. But do we actually have word from WOTC to that effect, or is this another unsubstantiated rumor?

I believe it's unsubstantiated rumor.

Very clever and probably accurate unsubstantiated rumor, but rumor and extrapolation only.

Word from WotC? Seriously?

No. We don't have anything "official". Everything we have so far is either conjecture, extrapolation or divination. Take your pick.

Races and Classes strongly suggests that they will be in the PH2. To wit:

Races and Classes said:
Mike [Mearls] probably shook things up the most when he designed a few classes that will be appearing in the 4th Edition Player's Handbook II. I looked at Mike's designs of the barbarian and the druid and I thought, "Oh, geez, this is the cool we need to be getting from all our classes."

If the classes for PHBII were designed months ago, why can't they realease it sooner?

When Necromancers' Advanced Player's Guide (or whatever the name is) hits the shelves?

;)

Because the rest of the book isn't done, and if you release half the book in advance, no one will buy said book? But I agree with the sentiment: I'd like as many of the "core classes" (and races) out as soon as possible.

All right, so no "official word" in terms of when, but it sounds like they could be ready for a web / DDI release sometime after the core rulebooks, and then officially in PHB2.
