I still play Planescape, and if I spot a PS book I'm missing at a reasonable price, it's likely that I'll buy it. But I won't buy old stuff just because it looks interesting, so I voted that it has to be "something specific".

I just bought an '85 copy of Lankhmar: City of Adventure, as it's something I've always wanted. That map is sweet! Am I alone in my interest in old stuff? I'm also thinking of selling my AD&D collection, but if there's no interest, I'll just donate to a library or something.

i have a game shop, and i frequenty will take in old gaming stuff in trade, which lets players update their collection, or even get into a new game. With game books running $35-50 these days, some store credit can make alot of difference.

Then i'll turn around an ebay the old stuff.

works fine for me...

Well I will if I need it. A few years ago I turned my hobby into my also my collection. Hence my ebay addiction :D
So if I dont have it and it is a good price and good shape I might pick it up if the funds are available at the time. If not I keep it on my list of stuff to look for.
I have nearly all the 1st and 2nd Edition stuff but I am behind on 3E stuff and can't afford alot of the really old stuff (you know the white box set).
I will get them someday though.

Not anymore. There was a time I was rabidly buying stuff up, but now I have too much. i'll be selling most of it off via ebay over the next couple months to help finance my GenCon trip.

Old stuff I will keep:

All 1E core and Greyhawk products.
All Basic/Expert stuff
All of the Lankhmar stuff.

Everything else will be going.

Seeing as I have feverishly sought out and bought every Planescape product ever released (and unlike Pokemon, I *do* now have them all), and am working in parallel on finalizing my AD&D 1e collection and cherry-picking the better stuff from 2e.... yeah, I'll buy old stuff.

I like collecting the old modules, particularly the Forgotten Realms stuff. I missed a lot of 2e books. I still want to pick up Die Venca Die and the Forest Orcale. I got lots more stuff after that :)

I do, although "old" here means "before 1985" - Planescape is not something I care much about. I collect the better Judges Guild stuff religiously (and use them with the same fervor), I have most good early 1e modules... Currently, I have started to expand my collection of old third party stuff, and also invested in a new set of 1e core books, with the original covers of course.

I find that these usually play very well with some slight alterations - it may be unpolished (which is a feature for me, a bug for others), but a lot is unpolished diamonds* with the wide-eyed naivety and exuberance of a game that can be (almost) anything. Also, they don't waste space with PRCs, huge stat blocks and "crunch" I am never going to use, ever.

*Not all of them, of course.

I'm definitely interested in old stuff, and I come ebay now and again. I particularly am interested in modules and setting material.

Oh, and if anyone is selling a complete copy of the Ruins of Undermountain, or the 1983 World of Greyhawk boxed set, let me know :)

Email me at protonik@msn.com then as I have a copy, box is kind of old but not torn up or anything, just the top collapsed. It is in fair shape.

I will buy anything Planescape that I don't have and is at a fair price, seems to be a trend that maybe WOTC should, SHOULD, be looking into very closely.

I buy FR stuff that looks good, as I run an FR campaign, particularly the FR series and the original boxed set (best version EVER).

I would say old Dragonlance stuff but after the initial War of the Lance material, choice product is few and far between and I can count it on ONE hand... DL Adventures, Time of the Dragon and maybe... MAYBE... Dwarven NAtions.
