Do You Blog?

I blog, infrequently and usually not about gaming. I've been considering starting up posting gaming-related stuff, especially now that I'm working on my own campaign world again.

I post to The Mule Abides, a collaborative blog of the New York Red Box gaming group I'm part of. I find this to have been an excellent way to get into & stay involved with blogging; the fact that there are others posting means it gets updated more often*, because you're gaming together you have common experiences to talk about, and because it's not just you you multiply the number of moms and grandmoms who are reading it :)

* The Mule gets updated more often than my .sig would indicate!

I've thought about blogging, but as my years on this site vs. post count suggests, I realy don't have much to say that often.
Reading this thread makes me kinda want to blog though. Share my thoughts and experiences as a struggling writer, poor man's rich man, and otherwise Grandmaster DM from beyond the grave.

Do the ENworld blogs have rules like "gaming only" or "ENworld material only" or somthing along those lines? Because here would be a good start... some of you might find what I have to say interesting (based on xps recieved).

I think it's pretty open - I have seen a wide range of topics covered ;)

My brother is a paramedic in San Jose (CA) and I tell him he should do a blog about that stuff. He's a funny guy - very witty, and the stuff he deals with... whew. Makes for great stories, but he doesn't have the energy or desire right now :/

Ironically enough, when I get my nursing degree (eventually!) I was thinking of moving to San JOse after grad and working there for a year or two. Mostly because I'm a pretty diehard SJ Sharks hockey fan, and season tickets are cheap enough there that I could actually afford them. ;)

ANd yeah, paramedics are awesome. I try to buy them free coffee when I see 'em in line. It makes their day.

Nah, never saw the point of blogging. Never liked listening to myself talk that much.
Well, for me, I like to write. I love writing words, sentences, paragraphs, on and on. I would rather write an email than walk down the hall and talk. And my friends can attest that I can write long emails.

So I started writing a blog three years ago, (next month). It gives me an excuse to write, write, write. And it gives me an outlet. Writing something is even more fun when I know someone reads what I wrote.

I don't assume I'm a great writer, or that I have any real wisdom or insight to impart. I just like the act of writing.

I operate (this sounds much more legitimate than it really is) The Spirits of Eden, a blog that used to be about D&D 4e and is now about a bunch of stuff including D&D 4e, but primarily about my homebrew campaign setting based loosely on eastern fantasy and animism. It also contains a bunch of other stuff though, like my enormous series of posts poking fun at the Monster Manual 2, spontaneous RPG thoughts, and my own homebrew RPG system.

Fake Edit: READ MY THREADS GUYS
