Do YOU have "personal" dice?

I have my dreamy blue die. Its blue with striations of white that make it look like a cloudy sky, It rolls like a pure dream i once critted around 8 times one night out of maybe 14 combat rolls. That night was awesome. I tend to loan it out for special rolls, or if i am dming since its not fair to use it against other players. I figure if i keep sharing the love the cosmos will thank me.

I was just wondering if anyone else was like me, and had a set of dice that no one else was allowed to touch, and had another specifically for others to use if they need? I've noticed a few others do it, I was just wondering if anyone else was as anal as me about it (Touch my dice, yer liable to lose an arm). So? What about YOUR dice?

I have a set of dice that no one in my group is willing to touch. Does that count? :D Oversized dice. I love it. No squinting to see what I rolled, and I can read them across the table (for when I lose control and send that spot check reeling into the DM's screen).

Superstition-wise, no. I've no superstitions about my dice.

That being said, yes, I have a few sets that I favor when I play and/or DM, but it's an aesthetic issue rather than a superstition one.

I also tend to buy a new set when I begin a new campaign, but again, this isn't superstition it's more along the lines of tradition. :)

Nope

I have lots of dice none of them are special to me. If I am at the table and someones needs a die I'll toss em one

Yes, my group is extremely superstitious about dice and everyone has their own set. I personally have two sets, one soapy blue with white numbers that roll pretty good. They're great for reading in dim light and I use them primarily when playing, or when DMing a light-hearted campaign or something (like Mutants & Masterminds). Then I've got my evil dice. They're black with smoky gold and gold numbers and they're KILLER. Nobody's allowed to touch those dice (which is easy, cause now we play online). I keep them in what my group likes to call a "charger". It's basically a case that you never switch and the dice must stay in at all times unless in play. The longer the dice remain in the case, the luckier they become.

My "charger" is an old polished aluminum pepsi sunglass case that I got with pepsi points over 10 years ago (yeah, I drank that much pepsi. Got a CD case, towels, dogtags, and a t-shirt as well, to further illustrate). It's kinda falling apart, but it serves me well. Among those dice, I also have 4 yellow d6s with black dots that came with the Heavy Gear tactical boxed set, as well as 6 blue d6s with white dots that I got at some toy store (needed lots of d6s for Shadowrun), and 3 mini d6s from various board games that almost consistently roll 6s, which I use to torment my players in Silhouette-system games. :D

Another of my players has two d20s. One white, and the other black. He calls them Ying and Yang, and they've always rolled quite high. Another player in our group is so unlucky that nobody lets him near their dice for fear of them being tainted (it's happened). ;)
