I like Shards but not Wilden. Mainly because Primal-related stuff isn't my story-type. Granted, Shardminds are pretty far down my list of 'want to play' but that's just because my 'want to play' list is long enough to last 'til 5th edition :p

I like the shardminds quite a bit. Not only is it a neat concept, but now I can play Crystar! ;)

Wilden...eh, they seem okay. I'm willing to give them a chance, though I'm still wrapping my head around them. They just seem...weird.

Guess I'm going to be the weird one, I really like the Wilden but the Shardminds get a big 'meh' from me.

I must say I really strongly dislike the artwork for the Wilden in PHB3, but fluffwise as I see it, they are adventuring nymphs or Kami. They have enough options to cover beings like dryads, naiads, and animal spirits. Looking at the primal power source after reading fantasy based in ancient Greek, Shinto and the Narnia settings it's nice to see being other than the traditional "fair folk" being given a chance to shine.

I might have liked the shardminds better with a different background, but I'm not really interested in them as presented. :erm:

I voted dislike them because as a player I'm not interested in them, therefore I'm apathetic at best, dislike at worst.

I don't think there's anything in D&D (any edition) that I hate, after all I reserve that emotion for RL stuff, not my games/hobbies.

The Sentinelspire novel gave me a soft spot for the Killoren. I'm really digging the Feywild now (thanks to all those Irish saga's I've been reading no doubt) and the Wilden (we still call them Killoren in our campaign) have become strong allies with our feylock (Warlocks were reflavoured. Instead of pacts with beings, they essentially command the innate magic of the respective plane, more or less like sorcerers and the prime material plane).

I just hate how they have Wolverine hair now.

Neither fit my current campaign, but neither does the Dragonborn. Always hated Drow. No real harm in having them though.

I like the Shardmind, though it's very situational. I like the mechanics of the race, but I could only see them in my campaign on a case by case basis, not as one of the common races. You would need an interesting justification to play one, but i certainly wouldn't rule them out. The Wilden were very meh for me, but that's just personal preference I think. If someone wanted to play one and could justify it I think I would allow it.

I really enjoyed creating my Wilden Vestige pact warlock.
He was created by the very vestiges he serves, assembled from raw vegetable matter. He is an attempt to return one or more of them to full existance. He knows that some of the names and ledgends surrounding them are just camaflouge to hide what they really were.

Since its either an LFR character or an NPC, his journey will mostly be internal. :(

dont have PHB3, so no option on the shardmind
