I'm wondering how many people already subscribe to pay sites.

I'm a mag subscriber. The physical substance that paper provides will always be more appealing to me.

I can see how some would prefer e-content but it's not for me and I wouldn't pay for it.

I have no plans to support WotC in this endeavor. I don't use their site now for free content. Why would I pay for it?

Well I subscribe to Dungeon and Dragon (soon to be Pathfinder) and the only website I put money towards is this one.

I subscribe to one online magazine, www.consumerreports.org and not their paper version. I like it because it is searchable and not having piles of consumerreports magazines is a plus....

Admittedly I am one who wants online content...

but I don't go to consumerreports for ads or art....I don't pass it around to my friends. It's not a social experience.

I want Dungeon and Dragon in both formats...PDF and paper.

I don't subscribe to websites. Period. I do contribute to "tip jars" and the like for sites I like -- but I don't do "pay only web content".

Heck, I run a website and I'd never do a "pay only" section even if I thought it would be successful.

I used to subscribe to two magazines, which I eagerly awaited every month.

But they're getting the axe. -.-

Well, I did subscribe to both Dragon and Dungeon. After September, I prolly won't subscribe to anything. As far as websites, nope. Then again, I wonder if people would count a subscription to a MMORPG as a website sub or not. I don't do that either, but, it is something to think about.

What the unpronouncable one said. But is this really a "pay" website? I pay to support it but it's an optional thing.

Pay websites! LWN.net and WUnderground.com are two.
I used to subscribe to various magazines, but never had time to read them.

I don't subscribe to Dungeon or Dragon, but I do buy them each month at my local gamestore. There are a few other magazines I subscribe to on and off, but I'm getting more and more info online so these are falling by the wayside.

I do subcribe to a few website, being "premium members" gets me automatic podcast updates and a few other perks. Hell, the $5 a month it is costing me for each (I'm signed up for 2 so far) is well worth what I get for it.

And I'm VERY interested in this online content for Wizards...I'm one who answered their survey with positive responses when they had it on their site, and will take a look at it when it comes out and probably subscribe. I can see paying anywhere from $10-20 per month depending on what they offer.
