Do you use a DM screen?

I use a screen, to hide rolls and as a place to tack notes and maps up...the top of the screen is festooned with a little row of paper clips, nearly all of which are in use at any given time. I've also made up my own versions of various often-referenced tables (combat, ExP, movement speeds, the game's calendar, etc.) and stuck 'em to my side of said screen.

From the other side, the players also tack notes to it - party watch lists, in-game quotes, etc.

When I DM'd, I usually used a screen, mainly to shield the issues of Dungeon that I was using, as well as my notes. With only a few exceptions, I made my rolls in the open.

In general I do use a screen; I keep my notes and my dice rolls behind it. On occasion we run a game that is primarily a dungeon crawl with no punches pulled; for those I don't use a screen and all rolls are in the open.

I'm noticed that one of the players in my group bought a DM screen and keeps it freely available for reference. It does speed up game play a little bit when its his turn, and now I'm considering buying one for my future reference as well.

I use them whenever I remember (which isn't that often). I usually just lay them out before me as a mat, though, for quick reference. Especially the right panel of the new one for D&D.
