Which, IIRC, effectively gives an epic level feat result (intensify spell.)

Intensify spell gives 200% maximum damage (at +7 spell levels), not 150% maximum (at +5 spell levels) (or 100% maximum + 50% rolled, by proper RAW).

You're right. My recollection of epic rules must have gotten fuzzy after not using them for a while.

All variable, numeric effects of an intensified spell are maximized, then doubled. An intensified spell deals twice maximum damage, cures twice the maximum number of hit points, affects twice the maximum number of targets, and so forth, as appropriate. Saving throws and opposed rolls are not affected. An intensified spell uses up a spell slot seven levels higher than the spell’s actual level. You can’t combine the effects of this feat with any other feat that affects the variable, numeric effects of a spell.

No, the worst feat ever that doesn't 'cheat' would be weapon specialization (net).

While certainly mediocre in its own right, Weapon Spec (net) allows you to take higher level feats for the net that actually will grant you some benefit. Therefore, this feat is infinitively more useful than the true holder of the crappiest feat:

3.0 Eagle Claw Strike!!

You see, this feat was put in the sword and fist supplement. However, the supplement was released just after Wotc errata ed the sunder rules, allowing unarmed strikes to sunder.

Therefore, Eagle Claw Strike provided you a benefit that you already have, making it the worst feat in 3e history.
