Centaurs can, so I guess minotaurs should be no exception.

In the rules for centaurs (Races of Faerun, I think) it even says, that it will look funny. ;)

IMO this is utterly stupid. I cannot prove it just with words. I would only suggest to try it with your dog (if you have one): put children boots to your dog and ask him to come with you for a game of "catch this ball". What looks "funny" to me, is the idiocy of the game designer who wrote that.

The Catharine the Great thing is a myth. Any history prof worth their salt will tell you that (shame on them if they don't). Of course, it's just one of those things history profs like to tell their students to make history more "interesting." And the fallout is students going around spreading the story.

In Dragonlance, minotaurs have feet. That didn't bother me too much (since DL minos are seafaring creatures, it kinda makes sense), but then I saw the pictures in the campaign book and they looked like frikken big-foot!!! Ever since, I can't stand the thought of minos with feet...

Hmm... Both? :)

Greetings...

Well, first of all, I'd like to know WHY do you wonder why they have feet or hooves? I think in this case, the reason might be a lot more interesting than this obviously strange question.

Second...no...really, that Half-Cow template isn't a bad idea. Perhaps a Half-Animal Template. Half-Horse...Equintor. Ooo! I just made a new word! Half-Dogs humanoids... Half-Lemming -- Very Suicidal people, like to throw themselves off of cliffs in the springtime. But serious...

This picture looks great! And, I must say, I'm a full supporter of it.

To me this interpretation leans more towards "feet", however.

You see, with hooves, I picture legs with a reverse ankle -- you know, like a crooked dogs leg, or the legs of a satyr, and I personally don't like this image of a minotaur.

Minotaurs with a "man's legs" look a lot better. :)

Actually I was toying around with a 'Humanoid' template that could be added to any non-humanoid and would basically make them bipeds tending towards medium size with an upright torso and arms ending in a pair of fine manipulators, and average stats.

Imagine Humanoid Wolves, or Humanoid Griffons, or even Humanoid Otuygh

Unless Im mistaken, isn't there one template like that in Savage Species already? The Anthropomorphic Animal?
