Do your PC's engage in in-character dialogue amongst themselves?

I love it when my pc's start talking amongst themselves. It gives me the feeling that the game has taken on a life of it's own, plus I get to go and check my notes.

Maybe you should try to present them something that they won't agree on but needs to be solved. The last game my players took about 2 hours discussing which dinner invitation they wanted to accept. Three invitations were received all from high ranking officials in the city, and all set for the same time. The question was, which two did the pc's want to anger and which did they want to pacify?

I had one player who did excellent voices in character.

Now that I'm playing, I'm having a lot of fun being an insulting, arrogant, SOB. I get a lot of leeway since I've been dubbed plot <self censored>, and currently one of the other PCs is questioning who's "side" I'm on. It's an Epic Level game and so far it's been a lot of fun!

Paladin : So.....
Honor Knight : ..Hmm?
Paladin : Wanna go kill evil?
Honor Knight : HELL YEAH I wanna go kill evil! You give me a demon and a bastard sword, and I'll give that battlefield a work-out!:D

everything is taken as being ingame when the PC's sit down at the table. It's rather funny to see these guys plot and fume and get themselves all worked up when one or the other messes around with everyone...hehe!
