I don't recall anything like this until the animated movie a number of years ago, then everyone was doing it. ??Conjured Weapon - Basically anything from swords, to staves and axes.. its a matter of style because the weapons are all functionally manifestations of arcane power rather than actual things... most are fancy in appearance jewel encrusted etc.
You just hit an obscure pet peeve of mine. [sblock] There was a guy I used to game (Champions! & GURPS, mostly) with who always said it that way "Seraphimic" when it's the Shield(s) of the Seraphim. Seraphimic is just a weird form of the word, considering it's not an English word - 'Seraphim' is plural, Seraph is singular, so the Anglicized adjective form might legitimately be Seraphic (one on-line dictionary, at least, seems to think so). Plus, _____ of ______ always sounded cooler in Dr Strange, and D&D sure leans the same way.Seraphimic Shield -

Don't know why stuff like this bothers me...
...actually, I do, that old friend could be really annoying - I liked him, he was a good friend, but he could be annoying.

So, very basic questions...
Is Strange really that 'Arcane?' I mean, occult, or natural-language arcane, sure, certainly. He uses martial arts, studied in Tibet, and has psychic powers, certainly, that could as easily be Psionic, in spite of the occult trappings. Similarly, he 'serves' the Vishanti, who are god-like, could be Divine, like an Invoker, he certainly does a lot of Invoking, doesn't he?
But, like a dictionary-definition sorcerer, he gets a lot of his power from otherworldly entities. In D&D, would they be Deities? (The Vishanti seem that way.) Arch-Fey? Far-Realms? (Shumagorath, certainly would've been.) Spirits (they're from other dimensions, so not really primal spirits). Devils? (several pass for /the/ Devil) Etc... That's sounding Warlocky, isn't it? Which'd be back to Arcane.
...hmmmmm....
