Level Up (A5E) Does a sorcerer's Manifestation affect cantrips?

Engaging in worldbuilding/making sample characters and wondering this. In this case, the character took Hurricane (spend an SP on a spell that inflicts thunder or lightning damage, creates a shockwave that pushes creatures back.) Can I use this with shocking grasp? Or does it need to be 1st-level or higher?

(As a semi-unrelated question, what sort of metamagics work well with sleep?)

A cantrip is a spell, so unless the rule says spells of 1st level or higher, you can use metamagic on cantrips.

Just did a quick read to check, and yeah I see nothing that would prevent you from using this on cantrips. Have at it!
