Does any1 want to make a D&D Ezine?

Besides the editing issues (which while nit-picky are still valid) may I politely inquire as to what you plan on presenting in your e-zine to make it distinct and desireable. Or, in other words, what and who are you looking for exactly. Do you need writers, cartoonist, opinion pieces, artwork or are you just looking for possible interest at this time? How far is your planning for the e-xine progressed? Do you have a possible theme in mind or just at this point want an e-zine to call your own?

I'm so happy to hear I'm not the only one that believes this.

Yeah, I strongly believe it, too. Attention to proofreading and editing is extremely important, even in a free e-zine. For example, recognizing and avoiding misuse of homophones (such as there, their, and they're) is a good way to give a professional sheen to something one writes. As a reader, I know that my estimation of the relative merit of a book or magazine can be lowered by egregious commission of such errors. It shows dedication (or lack thereof) on the part of the writer.

Certainly not in association with anyone who can't spell the word "anyone"

... or "to" for that matter.

I believe it should have been "too" not "to" because the context of it was in meaning as well as. ;)

Seems your grammar isn't as perfect as you would have us believe Vaxalon :D

Agreed: personally, I don't *give* points for grammar/punctuation/usage correctness in written works; I *subtract* points for flaws. :) I never subject bulletin boards, emails, or instant messages to that kind of scrutiny... but a published work (even if it is Web-published, even if it is free) had better meet my standards or I simply lose interest in it. It takes increasing effort to read a work with decreasing adherence to standard written English, and at some point I will stop trying.

P.S. Very funny Neo! :)

I believe you are wrong, Neo.

I believe the original quote was "Does any1 want 2?" as in "Does anyone want to?" with the word 'participate' or something like it understood.

You could be correct, if he had meant to say, "Does anyone want, too?" but I doubt he was asking if anyone was in a state of generalized desire.

Okay, everyone you have beaten him down enough don't you think? I hate to see enthusiasm smothered so.

DragonSword, if you feel the other ezines suck, why not send them an article that doesn't suck. Not only would it introduce you to the problems of making an ezine but it would show these doubters here that you can produce. Then you could branch out into your own ezine and people would flock to follow you since you had already wow'd them in Asgard and other places.

Other venues you could use to show your skills is getting an article published in Dragon. That would impress people on these boards.

Ok, ok

I was only looking 2 (sorry 'to') have some fun and meet new people.

If I'm going to get a mouthful of something smelly chucked at me for doing it, then...
