Just because I've only just been enlightened to the wonders of EN World doesn't nessessarily mean I'm a complete dipstick.

That's called stereotyping, you know, its meant to be bad.

:p

Don't let it bother you, brother, and welcome to the boards. :)

I will add my support to the others who have suggested that you submit something to Asgard. I think you will find it both fun and educational to work with the people who put it together. You could also volunteer to do a little of the behind the scenes stuff for them, as I know they always need help in various other areas beyond writing.

As I said, try not to let anyone's tone (or perceived tone, in most cases) get to you. It's not really personal, because they don't really know you, and it's not worth the energy to get upset over someone's hastily typed words. If most of them thought that they had or would genuinely hurt you, they would not be so quick to be mean. :)

well I wasn't trying to be critical in my post - I just thought you might be a bit more explanatory about what you were actually looking for. Are you wanting to do a sci-fi d2o e-zine, a fantasy d20 e-zine or a combination of the two. Are you looking for partners or contributors?

I'm not totally sure.

I'm not sure I'm looking for anybody anymore.

Umm, I'm probably looking for partners, but anyone who wants to write etc would be a help.

I'm looking at D&D 3rd Edition, Fantasy.

What I mean by the other zines being rubbish, and this applies to Asgard as well, is that there is a definate lack of any opinion/columnist style articles. There is a lot of resource but no opinion or articles to read for the sake of reading them.

Interesting. By opinion do you mean reviews? Or are you wanting game insider opinions on the status of the hobby and industry?

Write one and submit it. They can't print what they don't have. I'm not sure what you mean by an opinion article about RPGs though.

The kind of criticism I've seen on this thread seems to be of the constructive type. Such criticism helps one improve. It's not meant in an unfriendly fashion. Not all criticism is bad.

I believe you are wrong, Neo.

I believe the original quote was "Does any1 want 2?" as in "Does anyone want to?" with the word 'participate' or something like it understood.

You could be correct, if he had meant to say, "Does anyone want, too?" but I doubt he was asking if anyone was in a state of generalized desire.

I'm afraid i'll have to disagree Vaxalon "to" means a movement towards, equality or comparison. It is used to mark the infinitive of a verb. e.g. "pull the door to" or "go to the store".

Where as "too" means also, and as well as

Not only do I know this but the latest edition of the Colins dictionary before me confirms it, but please feel free to research the validity of this yourself.

and as DragonSword was asking if anyone wants too his context was obviously meaning if anyone wants to help beyond himself, which is almost certainly an "as well as/also", thus the correct word is indeed "too".

FAO: Dragonsword, I for one would be interested in hearing a little more about what you have in mind for your e-zine. what sort of content are you considering, how many pages are you aiming for?, colour or Black and White?, will it be aimed at fantasy D20 only or D20 in general and so forth?
