Does anyone know about this? [Planescape]

Synthetic

First Post
A while ago (a couple of years, actually) i stumbled upon a Planescape adventure somewhere on the Web, written for a single PC. It was beautifully written, and it felt almost like I was reading a novel (and a well-written one at that) instead of an AD&D adventure. I don't remember much of it, except that the single PC played the role of some kind of fiend or yugoloth (can't remember what type). The adventure started on a plane that was some kind of junkyard for the rest of the multiverse (Acheron, I think). Unfortunately I don't remember much of the plot, except that at one point the PC finds an old discarded robot-like creature which also accompanies him throughout the rest of the adventure.

Does anyone know where I can find this? I'm dying to read it again.

This isn't OT by any stretch of the imagination. You might want to edit your subject line to change [OT] to [Planescape], and you'll get a lot more attention!

robot thing is probably a modron...if that helps...

I miss modrons..all they are now is a silly web-enhancement..

Formorians got the gold mine...
Modrons got the Shaft... ;) ;)

It wasn't Vortex of Madness was it? Strictly speaking it wasn't exactly a Planescape adventure but it does feature a junkyard type demiplane. Other than that I can't think of any more Planescape adventures that might fit the description. Can you give any more details?

[Edit: You can always check here for a list of all the Planescape products. Maybe seeing the cover will jog your memory. You've made me curious about this. I want to know which adventure you're talking about.]

I'm sure it wasn't a modron. IIRC, it was some droid-like creature standing next to the remains of what seemed like an ancient spaceship.

Also, the format of the adventure was more like a story being told, with the author sometimes describing the PCs feelings, etc.

Everything was written into one huge HTML document with very little formatting (standard layout with grey background).

Orroloth posted this response on the messageboard. Sounds like it might be your winner!

I'm not sure, but I think this might be 'A Journey through the planes'. There's a copy in the RPGarchive, which this link leads to.

A Journey Through the Planes

Heh. I missed the part were he said it was a web based adventure. Don't I feel stupid. Please ignore my well intentioned but ultimately useless suggestions. :)
