Also, John Ringo's very good, in a "really big body count and big guns and alien hordes" kind of way. He reads too fast, though.
Who else that hasn't been mentioned...I'm a fan of Ian Slater, who writes these...interesting...WWIII novels that, while they're a series, spectacularly ignore continuity. There was also a USA vs. Militia series with the same characters, one of which introduced me to the Metal Storm concept.
Daniel Easterman used to have his own little niche of religious spy novels, but I think he's stopped publishing.
