Had a great session on Tuesday night. Usually my group of guys that I DM tend to want to hack-n-slash things the whole night so I usually have 2-3 encounters lined up expecting that they'll just try to advance the storyline through combat.
Imagine my surprise when we spent the first 3 hours actually role playing and advancing the storyline significantly without a sword being drawn or arrow put to quiver. They spent the whole session in the city of Westgate, spoke to officials, spoke to a lord, did some shopping, broke into a warehouse, burnt down said warehouse when they failed to see a trap, then finally got into a fight with some assassins at the end of the night to cap things off. Probably my favorite session so far and looking forward to the next one in two weeks.
