Does bull's Str stack with Belt of Str?

I would avoid creating new spells at less than epic levels. You are working with an assumption that low-level spells need to be useful at higher levels. They don't really need to be. They can be, with low end challenges or with creative uses. Or to buff secondary roles in the party. Like giving the fighter Owl's Wisdom to increase a low Will save. But low-level spells don't need to be useful.

Magic items are better than spells. They are permanent. A dispel can strip all your spell buffs off you, but at worst it will suppress a magic item. Of couse Disjunction changes things quite a bit. :)

Now if you are working with different power level assumptions within your game, feel free to change things around. But that goes beyond the scope of the rules forum. :D

Well i dont expect low levels spells to be effective at higher levels... but i wouldn't stop a character researching a new spell.. so if he wish to make an improvement of a low level spell... with greater power he is free to do so, at least if i declear balanced enought to enter my game.

items are supressed.. spell are jsut reCasted...

anyway thx for the Info

Olw´s Wisdom grants a enhanchement bonus to Wisdom, and so do Periapt of Wisdom.
Olw´s Wisdom doesn´t grant any bonus spells. What about Periapt of Wisdom? Does it grant bonus spells?
If it does, why?

That's a good question. I've always let the Periapt give the bonus spells, simply because it doesn't say that you don't get them. The spell specifically states that you don't. *shrugs* I'd be interested in hearing how other DM's rule on that.

Recasted using another valuable spell resource...and this is assuming party wizard has dedicated such amount of resource to Strength buffing. Items are usually better.

Like others have mentioned...I would shy away from any non-epic Strength buff spell. :o

I allow items, if worn continuously, to grant bonus spells. But that might be a House Rule. I also allow the Headband of Intellect, if worn continuously, to grant extra skill points, which is definitely a House Rule.

I never let items with a + to a spellcasting stat grant bonus spells(such as those granted from a high stat). However, I do let the item allow said character to cast spells of a level equal to that (so a ranger with a 11 wisdom and an item of +2 wis would be able to cast up to 3rd level spells with the item). However, an item is a permanent item usually. A spell is not.

the artificer has an infusion that will allow them to stack ;)
That particular infusion is open to more potential abuses than anything else I have seen. You can use that infusion to not only pump stats and AC and saves, but you can get the 3e archery bonuses - nasty.

Of course this means that you are walking around normally with a bunch of items which dont stack all in hopes of useing this infusion (level 4) in order to make them work for a period of time. There is a pretty limited amount of choices also ;)

It definately has some interesting ramifications however, I havent seen it in play just yet.

Owl's Wisdom doesn't grant bonus spells because it doesn't last long enough for you to rest and prepare spells.

Geoff.
