Does EGG still write modules?

Enquiring minds want to know. I'm no expert on the subject, but he's affiliated with "Necromancer Games", no? Has he authored modules for them? Thanks!

Also.....

If he HAS written modules lately (or is still writing them), what mechanics does he use for them?

Yes. He generally writes them for his Lejendary Adventures game, and the ones that are published in d20 have someone else doing that part of it. He is currently working on Castle Zagyg for Troll Lords games, which uses the Castles & Crusades ruleset. I'm not sure whether or not he's actually writing them as C&C or someone is doing the conversion required (which isn't a whole lot anyway).

For more info, try asking Gary himself in this thread. He is Col_Pladoh on these boards.

"Necropolis" was published a couple years ago by Necromancer Games. This was originally written/published for Gygax's own Dangerous Journeys game in 1992 (and before that was supposed to have been published as a 'generic' (i.e. AD&D-compatible) adventure in 1988). The Necromancer version is a conversion to d20 (Gygax didn't do the conversion but was 'consulted').

"The Hermit" was published a couple years ago by Troll Lord Games, double-statted for d20 and Gygax's own Lejendary Adventures game (the d20 stats were not done by a co-author, not Gygax)

"Hall of Many Panes" is upcoming from Troll Lord Games, also double-statted for d20 and Lejendary Adventures (and again the d20 stats are not by EGG)

"Living the Lejend" is upcoming from Troll Lord Games, an introductory adventure for Lejendary Adventures (no d20 stats on this one)

"Castle Zagyg, vol. I: Yggsburgh" is upcoming from Troll Lord Games for their Castles & Crusades game (which is stats-wise mostly compatible with 1st ed. AD&D). 6 more volumes of Castle Zagyg will follow over the next couple years.

Ah, so he's actually affiliated more with the "Troll Lord" people than he is with the "Necromancer" people? I've not heard of "Lejendary Adventures". Methinks I've got some web-surfing to do..........

the trolllord.com site should be your best starting point for your search. TLG pretty much publishes everything gary does. I'm pretty sure Necropolis was the first thing "converted" to d20, and done by someone besides TLG, that was written by EGG.

Well, Troll Lord is going to publish "Castle Zagyg" in like 8 big volumes. I believe it's the real Castle Greyhawk, with the names changed a bit for legal purposes. That should keep peopel busy for a while

In addition to the Castle Zagyg series, the Hall of Many Panes, and the LA stuff, there was of course the excellent Maure Castle in a recent Dungeon mag (112).
