Who are "they?" This weird acronym "OSR" seems to have been developed to marginalize some gamers either into a box or out of the box. Where did it actually start? From what I have seen in perusing various blogs and checking out the variety of games out there that profess to be "Old School" I am not seeing a united voice or style. As someone who has gamed since the early '70s, I can tell you that most don't even seem to embrace the style of play my own groups embraced nor those of the other groups I was aware of at the time. I won't get into calling out any specific games or bloggers in a negative manner, though I may in the future mention one or two that seem to have their head screwed on right when I see it. Take it from someone who lived and gamed through those days, take anything said by someone claiming to be part of any OSR with a grain of salt and if you notice someone trying to marginalize something they obviously don't like as OSR, kick em in the junk, take their dice, and go enjoy some gaming without their sorry ass. No one needs people like that in their lives.
