Does movement from jumping provoke OAs?

I'm specifically wondering because the Barbarian has a utility (I think called Barbarian Great Leap) which, as a move action, lets you make an atheltics check with a +5 bonus to jump as if you'd had a running start, and move the full distance.

I could see how this could be useful at later levels when you could easily roll high enough to beat your normal speed, but until then it seems like kind of a crappy power. You're basically trading the opportunity to move and jump to just jump with a +5 bonus, since it takes up your entire action.

Is it just meant to be a situational power used when you need to jump and can't get a running start?

No comment on the Barbarian power's intent, but yes, jumping is normal, voluntary movement and is not a shift, so it does provoke OAs.

I'm guessing that it's sloppy wording and that it's supposed to be the same as the rogue's Great Leap. With the rogue's ability, you get to travel the full distance of the jump, regardless of what your movement is. Normally when you jump, when you run out of movement points you stop moving.

The rogue's is worded "The distance you jump can exceed your speed." The barbarian's ability is worded "...and can move as far as the check allows." which seems awful ambiguous to me. I'd rule that they're the same, but I'm not sure what they meant.
