Does SR protect your Mirror Images?

Why should it be? If the Mirror Images are the only things that you threaten and not the caster, for instance if they were in this formation:

I-I
c-I-X

Where X is the guy with Whirlwind Attack and c is the real caster, then WWA wouldn't hit the caster, would it? Nothing strange about that...

Except, of course, that just a few sentences earlier the FAQ said that all the images are in the same square as the caster, so that particular arrangement isn't possible. :)

Here's why...took me awhile to find it. :heh:

This also address MM and MI interactions. Short form: yes, MI are legal targets for MM.

That's the one...

I'll stick to it. Makes things A LOT easier.

Kind regards

Would you impose a spot dc for the others to 'notice' which of the MM stuck the image? Or does everyone have eyes in the back of their heads and see EVERYTHING? How would the Wizard know which image was struck if the MI does not appear to took the hit.

I think you're within your DM rights to require a Spot check. Consider, however, that everyone is assumed to see things around them. So the DC shouldn't be high.

DC 10-15 maybe? ANd how would the Wizard 'know' which MM actually affected the real MI
Unless a given Magic Missle shattered due to spell resistance (does it apply?), the real one was the one that DIDN'T go *poof* when hit. Simple, no?
