Does this sound silly? (regarding crystalline type golems)

Hi all! :)

I was wondering if perhaps when detailing any sort of crystalline golem (or indeed I suppose Stone Golems too) that it might be worth making them 'naturally' vulnerable to critical hits. To essentially represent the non-malleable nature of certain materials when subjected to blows?

I know technically Constructs are not affected by critical hits but we would be saying more along the lines of: "The properties of this material are inherantly more fragile; which is represented by mimicking being subjected to critical hits.

Or is it just 2am and I am babbling in my sleep!? :D

i could be wrong, but i think 3.5e constructs will work a little differently. i heard something about them having a hardness rating. don't yet know how this will work...

I won't have those books for a day or so but I have been advocating a hardness rating for Golems for years.

However, I seem to recall that 3.5 gives Golems DR x/adamantine. Maybe someone with the books can clarify that?

Also in the DMG the Hardness rating of stone is wrong. It should be half what the rating of Iron is. ;)
