Does toughness need to be better?

Im playing a Warforged Warden with a high con (1 under my main stat-str) And I want to get as much hp as possible. But from everyone I've talked to, toughness seems like just a terrible feat in comparison to all the other options I can take in paragon. Let alone epic.

Does anyone else think that toughness needs a boost, and what are some options you guys may have used in your games?

Toughness is a solid feat at any tier as far as I'm concerned. +10 hp at paragon is great, don't forget it also increases the amount you heal per surge.

I have seen several players take the feat with no complaints.

Ditto again. The fact that it ups your healing surge value is a real bonus (better than the fact that it ups your max imo).

Remember, 5hp is a levels worth of HP to most classes...

I umm find it a little un-interesting as feats go.... the feat durable is atleast a team player route. I think allow players Auspicious birth or Born under a bad sign.... and similar backgrounds sufficiently more interesting. But then I think that hit points are sufficiently luck and morale and determination that .. CON as the basis for them.... is well more than a little a disconnected throw back.

The fighters in the party have taken it, but then again it seems that most of the heroic feats are not great. By 4-6th level I seem to find no feats that I really want, so a few more HP or surges are ok, or another skill may be better.

Ok lemme ask a follow up question.

Are there any feats by 18th level that are just going to be plain better and do near the same thing (raise my hp or the amount of damage I can take per encounter)?
